Data Controller

The data controller for this website is EuroSalary.eu, based in Luxembourg. We are committed to protecting your privacy and processing any personal data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and applicable Luxembourg data protection law. As a Luxembourg-based service, we fall under the supervision of the Commission Nationale pour la Protection des Données (CNPD).

Data We Collect

We keep data collection to an absolute minimum. If you subscribe to our newsletter, we store your email address, which is processed by Resend, our email delivery partner. If you submit an anonymous salary report through our contribution form, the submission contains only job title, country, salary range, and years of experience — no personally identifiable information (PII) is collected or stored. Salary submissions are stored in Supabase (Frankfurt, EU region). For website analytics, we use Plausible Analytics, a privacy-focused, cookieless analytics tool that collects no personal data. Plausible does not use cookies, does not track users across sites, and is fully GDPR compliant without requiring a consent banner.

Data We Do NOT Collect

We want to be explicit about what we do not collect. We do not collect your name, government-issued identification numbers, exact physical location, or IP addresses for analytics purposes. Plausible Analytics processes pageview data without storing visitor IP addresses. We do not build user profiles, we do not run retargeting campaigns, and we do not sell or share any data with advertisers. Salary submissions are fully anonymous by design — there is no account system, no login requirement, and no way to trace a submission back to an individual.

Third-Party Services

We work with a carefully selected set of third-party services, all chosen for their privacy practices and EU compliance. Plausible Analytics provides cookieless, GDPR-compliant website analytics with all data processed in the EU. Resend handles newsletter email delivery and acts as an EU data processor. Supabase hosts our database in the Frankfurt (EU) region with encryption at rest and in transit. Cloudflare Pages serves our static website via its global CDN, providing performance and DDoS protection. None of these services place tracking cookies on your device or collect personal data beyond what is strictly necessary for their function.

Your Rights Under GDPR

Under the General Data Protection Regulation, you have the right to access any personal data we hold about you, the right to rectification of inaccurate data, the right to erasure (the right to be forgotten), the right to data portability, the right to restrict processing, and the right to object to processing. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your national supervisory authority or with the CNPD in Luxembourg if you believe your data protection rights have been violated.
